Markus grabs Hatters awards treble
Markus Heikkinen cleaned up at the Luton Town end of season awards night taking the Players' Player, Internet Player and Player of the Year awards.
The 27-year-old Finland international, who also leads the way in The Luton News' Star Hatter awards, has been a revelation for Town this term since signing from Aberdeen on a free transfer in the summer.
And the midfielder-turned-defender was recognised for his efforts on the field at the Luton Town Supporters' Club event held at Vauxhall Recreation Club's Riverside Suite on Monday evening.
Other winners on the night were Keith Keane (Young Player of the Season), Dean Morgan (Goal of the Season for his strike in the 3-2 home win over Southampton in August last year), Carlos Edwards (Young Members' Player of the Season) and Steve Howard (Special Award).
Beds Police Football Liaison Officer PC Peter Palmer was also given a Special Merit Award.
