Hide AdHodges, who plays for Harpenden Common Golf Club, finished two shots further back in 12th place and had initially been named first reserve, but a drop out means he, too, has been called up for the regional team.
Bedfordshire won the Boys’ Team Championship for the first time since 2010, with the girls finishing third on countback in their event.
Harlington Upper student Alex Bithrey from South Beds GC is also in the squad, along with Dunstable Downs’ Ryan Smith.
