Hanson speeds to victory

The Tony Cooke memorial shield was up for grabs at Luton’s penultimate round which also included a round of the South Midland Centre Championship.

With over 44 riders on the line, including a mouth-watering array of ex-British championship riders, it was a battle not to miss.

The gate dropped Keith Hanson, Greg Hanson, Rob Mead, Julian Rawson, Ryan Griffiths, Tony Leishman and Mark Bland all wanting that holeshot, and Hanson took the lead in the first lap with Rob Mead not too far away taking second and Ryan Griffiths third.
