Stockwood Park completed the first half of their 2015-16 Midlands Three East South programme with a 65-0 demolition of Old Newtonians at the weekend.

Scoring 11 tries and playing with flair and discipline, they completely outplayed the home team to secure an overwhelming victory to become legitimate promotion candidates.

With virtually a full first team squad fit and available for selection, Park have now begun to add consistency to their undoubted talents and coach Stephen Morgan will be delighted with the improved level of performance.

Park hit the ground running as Alex Lovell touched down within a minute of the start and from there Park never looked back.

Further scores were added in the first half by Ben Griffin, Ieuan Beale, Karl Jennings, Jamie Hoque and Lovell again as Jason Carr added one conversion to make it 34-0.

The second half continued with much of the same as Lovell completed a third hat-trick of the season, while Beale followed him to a
treble.

Michael Powell and Justin Harkin crossed the line, while Carr landed one kick and Beale two.

Park’s next league fixture is against leaders Oundle in early January.
