Hemming hopes for dream final at Gleneagles

Dunstable construction manager Chris Hemming and his Tilsworth Golf Centre PGA professional Richard Webb are in with a chance to a dream final at the 2014 Ryder Cup venue Gleneagles.

The pair will be competing in Europe’s biggest pro-am competition – The Lombard Trophy.

Hemming teed up a chance to tread the fairways of the PGA Centenary course at the famous Scottish resort between September 3-4 when he won his club qualifying competition with a nett score of 60.

He and Webb now advance to the regional final at Orsett Golf Club on Tuesday, June 25, where they will play one round of better-ball medal play with the chance to secure one of 16 spots available for the 36-hole grand final.

Hemming has been playing golf for 16 years and plays off a handicap of eight, while Webb, 25, has been a professional at Tilsworth for seven years.
