The Bedfordshire AAA Track & Field Championships were held recently at Stockwood Park Athletics Arena, home of Luton AC.

Championship best performances were achieved by U15 Victoria Sales from Bedford & County AC in the long jump as she leapt 5.10m, beating the record set in 1995 by Emma Hughes of Luton United AC.

In the U17 women’s long jump, Luton AC’s Eavion Richardson equalled the record of 5.59m previously set by Chloe Cousins of Bedford & County AC in 1996.

There were also several other fine performances as Joshua Bada from Luton AC won the 100m Silver Cup in 11.3secs, and for a full report, see the News/Gazette on sale now.
