KARATE: Country calls for Carla
Luton-based Kaizen Central Karate Club member Carla Burkitt has been called up to represent England at the Senior World Championships in Bremen, Germany next month.
The 24-year-old has fought for her country over the past five years, winning silver and bronze in recent European Championships, while she is also a British champion, English Champion and Commonwealth bronze medalist.
Speaking about the upcoming tournament, she said: “This championships is so important to myself and my team as it is the highest level of competition and have put in countless hours of training, travelling up and down the country to prepare as a team.”
