LADIES FOOTBALL: AFC crash out of League Plate

A disappointing performance saw AFC Dunstable Ladies lose 3-0 at home to Royston Ladies in their Eastern Region Women’s League Plate clash.

The hosts huffed and puffed but never created a clear-cut opportunity as their half-chances went begging before a defensive mix-up allowed Royston to open the scoring.

Another error at the back let Royston in again as a corner was allowed to drift into the net.

As AFC pushed forward late on, Royston hit them on the break to add a third.

Meanwhile, Luton Town Ladies’ trip to Ebbsfleet United in the South East Combination was postponed at the weekend. This Sunday, Hatters travel to Flitwick in the Beds County Cup, kick-off at 2pm.

Town’s reserves’ London & SE Regional Women’s League and Greater London Women’s League match at AFC Phoenix also fell victim to the weather.

This weekend, they host Enfield Town Reserves.
