Linehart is making strides in her triathlon progression

Boxfit Triathlon Club’s Kate Linehart completed her first Olympic triathon at Eton lake.

She did the 1,500m swim in 29min, the 40km bike in 1.24hrs and the 10km run in 52mins as she came home in 2.50hrs.

Linehart took up triathlon from running and has progressed with great speed as is set to race in the Boxfit wave at Woburn Triathlon.

Boxfit are hosting a sprint triathlon on August 31 with entry fee £20.

They are also holding a triathlon training weekend with top coaches in attendance and for more details visit www.boxfit.org.uk.

Boxfit duo in World Police and Fire Games

Boxfit Traithlon Club duo Lee Hutch and Tara Kirkham will both be competing in the biennial World Police and Fire Games

Both are firefighters and will be competing in the open water swimming competition at Bank Lane, Bangor.

The course will be a triangular two-mile route with the water temperature in August estimated to be 14-15C.
