Luton AC claim superb second at Cambridge meet
Strong hosts Cambridge triumphed, with Peterborough third, Braintree fourth, Huntingdon fifth and Leighton Buzzard sixth.

Hide AdThere were a number of notable Luton performances, with new member Lancelot Chihuri victorious in the U11 boys 80m in 11.83secs), Joshua Mercer first in the long jump with 3.70m and Zack Grinstead winning the shot with 4.99m.
For the U11 girls, Millie Soanes was runner-up in the 600m in 2.05mins and Jaala Sutherland won the shot with 3.62m.
Stepping up to the U13 girls, Ayaana Cowie was second in the 200m in 31.08secs, Georgia Nunn was runner-up in the 800m in 2.41mins and Jazz Sears won the long jump with a leap of 4.07m.

Hide AdNewcomer Tyreece Lawrence was Luton’s most successful athlete of the day in the U13 boys section, winning the 100m in 12.78secs, the 200m in 26.31secs and the shot with a throw of 7.04m.
In the U15 girls, Tahlia Nelson was victorious in the 100m in 12.73secs and won the 200m in 27.04secs, Judy Nelson triumphed in the B 100m in 13.24secs and Eleanor Griffin the B 200m in 27.97secs and Rebecca Hawtin leapt highest in the high jump with 1.50m.
For the boys Lewis Sweeney claimed top spot in the 100m in 11.75secs and won the 200m in 23.91secs, Lamin Coker won the B 100m in 11.78secs, Luke King triumphed in the 1,500m in 4.38mins and Che Stephen was runner-up on his debut hammer with 21.53m.

Hide AdThe U17 men competition saw Emmanuel Owolabi triumph in the 100m in 11.50secs, Sam Hazel win the B string in 11.93secs, Louis Hazel come home first in the 400m in 54.16secs and Kai Gardner victorious in the B string in 54.38secs.
Kayaana Reid was victorious in the 200m in the Senior women competition in 25.99secs, with Sophie Billington winning the 400m in 58.79secs, while for the men, Ola Fisayo won the long jump with 5.95m.
