Luton and Dunstable SC dominate
Players from all across Bedfordshire attended Lewsey Sports Park as adults and juniors fought out some very hard matches over the weekend.
The senior title was last contested three years ago, while the Beds Junior titles hadn’t been played for some time.

Hide AdCounty tournament organiser Steve McCoy said: “It was a great weekend of squash.
“As a county we have seen the rise of LDSC, both locally and nationally, and it’s clear that, with their help, we can roll out their template to regenerate the sport across the county.
“It was especially gratifying to see all the youngsters on the Saturday, they are the sign that a positive future is ahead with trials for the county squads on October 5.”
The very junior category could not have been tighter with the winner, LDSC’s Natalie Main, winning on a countback as all opponents beat each other with the same score.

Hide AdBiggleswade’s Fred Steer came second, a solitary point ahead of LDSC’s Sophia John.
The only non-LDSC winner came in the older junior category, where Mowsbury’s Arjun Vaingankar prevailed without dropping a game all day, while fellow club member Manu Ratnayake came second.
