Luton fencers enjoy title win
The Luton Sword Club took the honours at the end of a hugely competitive league season between clubs in the Three Counties League.
Finishing with 84 victories overall, Luton were ahead of Bedford with 79 victories and St Albans in third with 68.
Julian Parker, the Luton club’s co-ordinator, said: “The improvement in club fencing could be attributed to the expert coaching and the enthusiasm of club members.
“It was a most pleasing result all round.”
