Luton hold their nerve while Park smash BBOBs

Luton Rugby kept their nerve to beat Old Northamptonians 21-13 in National League Three Midlands on Saturday.

Adam Baker and Shaun Mahoney both touched down and Joe Murphy kicked 11 points. This weekend Luton travel to fellow promotion-chasers Longton.

Dunstablians came agonisingly close to their first league win of the season on Saturday as they lost 12-7 at home to Mansfield in Midlands One East.

Trailing 12-0 at half time, Dave Bateman scored for Dees and Jake Hobbs converted.

It wasn’t enough though and Dees travel to Bedford Athletic this weekend.

Stockwood Park destroyed Northampton BBOBs 71-0 in Midlands Two East South on Saturday.

Aaron Waterfield scored four tries, Gareth Jones two and there was one each for Tom Childs, Michael Powell, James Hankey, Duncan Bright and Alex Hunter. Captain Steve Pollock, meanwhile, added eight conversions.

Park travel to Northampton Old Scouts this weekend.
