Luton Kingfishers impress at diving competition

Boosted by the fantastic new diving pool and dry-dive facilities at Inspire, Luton Kingfishers performed well at novice competition The White Rose Invitational 2012 held at the John Charles Centre for Sport, Aquatics Centre, Leeds last month.

For some this was their first-ever competition as 14 Kingfishers competed and dived exceptionally well against some of the best clubs in the country.

Oliver Simpson, nine, won the preliminary heat, smashing his personal best in Boys Group E (eight to nine-year-olds) and, although he unfortunately dropped a dive in the final, still came third.
