Luton Rugby lose out to Staines

Battling Luton Rugby went down 32-22 at Staines in National League Three London & South East at the weekend.

Having led at half time, two yellow cards cost Luton, for whom Tesh Edwards, Jake Hobbs and Dan Blinkhorn touched down, with Rik Hobbs kicking seven points.

Luton end their season with a trip to Civil Service 1863 on Saturday.

Dunstablians came close to shocking Midlands Two East South leaders Peterborough Lions as they lost 19-13 at home on Saturday.

Tries from Jack Newton and Alex Ayres plus a Joe Murphy penalty had put Dees 13-12 up, but the Lions touched down with the last play of the game to snatch victory.

Dees visit Wellingborough this weekend.

Huntingdon & District thrashed Stockwood Park 71-3 in Midlands Two East South at the weekend, Jason Carr kicking a penalty for Park’s only points.

This weekend Stockwood end their league season at home to Long Buckby.

Vauxhall Motors were handed a walkover win against Bedford Queens in the Waggledance Merit Table.
