LUTON Town let a three-goal lead slip as they were held to a 3-3 draw by Shefford & Sandy in East Mens League Division Three South West at the weekend.

The hosts played some of their best hockey early on and were 1-0 up at half time through Dan Shearer.

After the break, Luton doubled their lead when Bryn Owen scored and Cameron Sarringdon made it 3-0 from a well-worked short corner.

The visitors then upped their game, scoring three times, including a last-gasp equaliser to earn a share of the spoils.

Luton dropped to fifth as a result and travel to Winchmore Hill & Enfield on Saturday.
