LUTON learned the importance of goal-kicking as they contrived to lose this National Three Midlands game in which they outscored the home side by four tries to three.

The first half was a dour affair as both sides had difficulty constructing any worthwhile play.

Burton scrum-half Darryl Banton slotted home a straight-forward penalty to put his side ahead after 10 minutes but back came Luton with the first try of the afternoon as a Jimmy Spiers break’ allowed Joe Lynch drive over.
