Luton AC narrowly escaped relegation from Chiltern Cross Country League Division One after the final fixture of the season at a rain soaked Campbell Park in Milton Keynes recently.
In the overall standing, Luton AC finished in 11th, with the leading display from Ben Winfield in the U15 age group who lost out by just two seconds to finish in second place on the day, gaining a surprise overall league silver medal.
There were good performances also from Michael Moroney (12th), Joshua Mitchell (19th) and Antonio Khan (20th) to helped their team win bronze medals.
Despite equally good runs from Libby Jay (sixth), Georgia Nunn (10th), Natasha Hayman (15th) and Elizabeth Bentham (25th), the U15 girls team narrowly missed out on medals finishing in fourth.
In-form Senior Daniel Woodgate was also second on the day to cement his overall silver medal.
Missing from the Ladies race was Rosie Keane who in the previous fixture had secured the Ladies title.
The Ladies V35 title was also won by Claire McMahon-Adie with ninth place on the day.
Other top 10 places overall were gained by Rhys Lewis (fifth U20), Michael Moroney (eighth U15), Jenny Evans (eighth lady), Natasha Hayman (seventh U15), Libby Jay (ninth U15), Leah Jay (ninth U11) and Max Winfield (ninth U11).
