Chiltern Ladies were beaten 3-1 by Leighton Buzzard IIs in their Five Counties League Division One clash at the weekend.
Emma Cook went close for the hosts in the first half, while she also nearly broke the deadlock after the break.
However, Leighton moved in front against the run of play and then added two further goals to lead 3-0.
Chiltern pulled one back late on as Cook netted a penalty flick, as Jenny Dimmock was named player of the match.
The IIs were held to a 2-2 draw by Saffron Walden Vs in Division Three.
Chiltern had the lead after 10 minutes when Holly Steward fed Chloe Hutton to chip the advancing goalkeeper.
The second arrived behind half time when Jackie Dadd’s cross was turned in by Steward, but Walden started their comeback in the second period, as they made it 2-1.
Late on, a penalty corner was dispatched to ensure Chiltern had to make do with a share of the spoils, Lauren House named star player.
The IIIs lost 3-2 at home to Leighton Buzzard IVs in their Division Five fixture.
Chiltern fell behind early on, while Leighton doubled their lead in the second half from a penalty flick.
Buzzard went on to make it 3-0 before the hosts found their mojo as player of the match Loraine Cherrill and Paula Sinfield both found the net.
