The Luton Town HC U12s were part of a tournament at Shefford & Sandy HC recently.

In the first game against Leighton Buzzard, Luton created chances but couldn’t score as their opponents triumphed 4-0.

They then lost 6-1 to a very strong St Ives team, with Emma Halsey scoring the consolation, assisted by Indiana D’Cruz.

The final match against Shefford & Sandy was a more even affair.

Halsey netted the only goal as Luton clung on in a tense and exciting final 10 minutes.

Throughout the tournament, goalkeeper Atonio Katsianis made some excellent saves, while there were some strong defence and midfield skills on show by Hasnain Zaidi, Lauren Kempson, Maisie Johnstone and Halsey.

Ellie Shadbolt-Mackay, D’Cruz and Tom Quested, who normally play U10s, also showed their strength against some older players.
