Barton motorcycle racer James Nagy finished second in the first round of the Santander Consumer Finance Junior Cup held at Donington Park earlier this month.
With the competition taking place before the first round of the British Super Bike Championship, Nagy managed to grab fourth place on the grid in qualifying despite some issues with his bike.
However, race one on Saturday saw the teenager battling for first place and he was in second until ending up in the gravel trap on the last lap, handing victory to Germany’s Dennis Stelzer.
Race two on Sunday saw Nagy start from pole having completed the fastest lap in the previous race.
An epic battle with four riders and the lead changing every corner ensued for eight laps, before Nagy pulled an audacious out-braking manoeuvre from fourth place to secure second across the line by just 0.005 of a second.
