Motors earn first victory

VAUXHALL Motors recorded their first win of their Midlands Four East South season with a 15-7 triumph against Stamford College OB on Saturday.

Motors dominated the first half and took the lead with a penalty from the ever steady boot of John Mathewson.

A debut try from Rhys Jackson, converted by Mathewson, gave Vauxhall a 10-0 half-time lead.

The backs, led by man of the match Danny Holser, were too strong for a Stamford team that were relying on their forwards’ strength.
