Team captain Steve Davies sealed the victory with a 3-0 win at string five and recently crowned U19 Beds Junior Open champion, Joe Green, followed up with a fine 3-2 success against fellow junior Alex Noakes.

The only defeat of the night came at number one string where Marc Woolhead lost to Tom Phipps but LDSC had already moved safely into the next round where they are likely to face Edgbaston, traditionally one of the strongest clubs in the country.
