Dodgers romped to a 53-5 win over Dallow Saracens in the Luton Dunstable & District Netball League Premier Division.

A frustrating game for Saracens meant the scoreline didn’t reflect the contest.

Dallow came out fighting from the off, but struggled to get the ball into the shooting circle and past Yvonne John who had a solid game, intercepting nearly everything that entered the circle during the full four quarters.

Saracens refused to give up and, despite trailing 13-1, kept the pressure on Dodgers during the second quarter, as Danielle Smart shone on her Premier debut, sticking close to Sam Castle and tipping the ball off court or intercepting on several occasions.

Spurred on by their 28-goal lead, Dodgers slowed the game down and put their skill and experience into practice.

Clair Prickett dominated centre court and easily directed the game as Dodgers scored 11 more goals to lead 40-3 at the end of the third quarter.

Sasha Joseph found her feet after spending half the game in defence, using the space of the court to nip and squeeze through the defence.

Dionne Thurland marked her opponent well though, closing out the space against the newcomer who worked tirelessly from end-to-end at centre as Dodgers triumphed 53-5.
