Olympic hopeful Harry joins Dunstable Swim Club’s homecoming

Dunstable Swimming Club celebrated it’s homecoming to the Dunstable Leisure Centre in style with it’s first Splash of the Year.

A total of 140 swimmers competed over 50m, 100 individual medley, and 25m for the juniors, with coaches past and present joining in.

Former Dunstable swimmer Harry Constantine, on the radar for the 2024 Olympic Games, also returned to compete, fresh from training with world champion Adam Peaty in Australia.

They also welcomed back former assistant head coach Ollie Hibbitt who swam brilliantly as did current incumbent Ryan Currell, while director of swimming Tim Hutton raced backstroke and freestyle.

With many families and friends packing the gallery and reception areas, a fantastic amount of money was raised for the club.

The event was run by DSC committee members, including chairman and Splash night organiser Paula Ellison, internal galas secretary Sarah Cooper.

The club would also like to thank all its coaches, officials and all other parent volunteers.

Attention now turns to the Watford Regional Qualifying Open and the Harpenden Frantic 50s this weekend, and then round two of the Chiltern League on Saturday, March 21, as the club looks to hold on to top spot, and Luton Level 1 open.
