Park let lead slip after red card

Stockwood Park let a 15-0 half time lead slip as they lost 27-15 at home to Stamford in a contentious Midlands Three East South encounter on Saturday.

James Pedder opened the scoring, with Jason Carr converting, while Ben Griffin’s try and a Carr penalty made it 15-0 before the break.

In the second period, Park winger Alex Harnett was red carded after some foul play off of the ball and the visitors took full advantage.

Stockwood travel to Pinley RFC in round one of the Midlands Senior Vase at the weekend.
