Premiership bow for former Dee Ellershaw

DELIGHTED James Ellershaw finally made his Premiership debut for Saracens as they lost 28-22 at Sale Sharks on Sunday, writes Mark Wood

The gigantic prop got 13 minutes on the field as a blood bin replacement and was pleased with his overall performance.

The late bloomer, now aged 28, is hoping it will be the first of many top flight appearances after impressing for Saracens’ second string, the Storm.

He said: “I was as nervous as hell, but when I got out there and got some tackles in I was OK.”
