Records tumble in club championships

Dunstable Swimming Club hosted the final round of this year’s Club Championships.

With points on offer for the top six position, swimmers now wait for DSC’s presentation next February, to find out the overall winners in each age category.

This round included the freestyle and backstroke events and was a licenced gala, which means many of the times achieved can be taken through to County Championships next year.

The gala included the skins event, where the six fastest juniors and six fastest seniors thrashed it out, as each round a swimmer was eliminated.

There were 18 records broken, while DSC set one club record, as Ellie King clocked 1.01.37mins in the 15-year-old girls 100 Freestyle.
