Park raced out of the blocks and took the visitors by surprise with an early try from Jack Brooks, converted by Paul Harman.

The visitors recovered to lead 19-7 at half-time as they showed some of the form that has seen them knock most teams aside this season.

Stockwood managed a second try after the break through James Pedder and Harman again converted.

Biggleswade scored once more though to take victory as Park’s man of the match was Tom Readfern, who put in another outstanding display.

Chairman Jason Carr said: “This week was a huge improvement against the league leaders. We fixed a lot of issues and can now look forward to the second half of the season with a lot of optimism.”
