Stockwood Park recorded their biggest-ever league win with a 110-0 thumping of Deepings at London Road in Midlands Three East South on Saturday.

“A 110-0 victory is a fine achievement at any level of rugby,” said President John Humphreys. “A club record league score is a great start to this year’s campaign.”

An uncomfortable first 10 minutes was cast aside as Park motored into a 38-0 half-time lead, thanks to two tries from man of the match Josh Woulfe and one each from Tom Readfern, Kyle Jennings, Jason Carr and Aaron Beattie.

The second half turned into a romp as Woulfe and Jennings bagged two more each and Aaron Beattie showcased his speed to grab his second.

Further tries came from Tom Edmunds, Michael Powell, Jack Brooks, Harry Bishop, James Hankey, David Keating and Casimir Abaka.

The pick of the bunch came from Powell, whose rampaging runs terrorised the Deepings defence all afternoon.

Carr notched up a total of 10 conversions across both halves.

“I couldn’t be more pleased with the result,” said club captain Jamie Hoque.

“Deepings certainly weren’t a bad side. Stockwood were just that good.

“We showed great control and composure to not only secure a record win for the club, but also keep a clean sheet. It’s onwards and upwards for the club.”

The record win comes on the back of a strong season for Park, where a slick 15-man style of play has become the hallmark of a young and hungry side.

Captain Hoque credited the victory to hard work at training, where there have been strong numbers since the Christmas break.

As the club look ahead to the business end of the season, they are still looking to attract more players, and players of all abilities are welcome at their Tuesday and Thursday night training sessions from 7pm-9pm at London Road.

This Saturday Park head to Northampton Casuals.
