SCHOOL SPORTS: Pirton Hill in fine form
With 15 schools participating from across Luton, Pirton Hill qualified through the group stages and met St Martins in the final, where they ran out winners.
The team didn’t concede a goal for the entire tournament as lead PE teacher Phil Martin said: “The girls have worked really hard over the last year turning up for club in the morning.
“It shows what hard work and commitment can lead to.

Pirton’s squad was Chloe Bardy, Nicole Gair, Whitney Dube, Kayren Equeter, Molly Burton, Aaliyah Dorman-Boucher, Chelsea Mafuva and Molly Goldney
Meanwhile, the school saw 30 pupils compete at the Indoor Athletics Town finals held at Luton Sixth Form College.
The other schools taking part were, Leagrave, St Matthews, Icknield, Hillborough, Chantry, Bushmead and Bramingham.

Hide AdThe standard of the athletes was exceptional from all the schools competing the results were decided by the final races, as Pirton Hill beat Hillborough by two points.
Both teams will go on to represent Luton at the County Finals in February 2014.
