Shance reaches semi-finals
VAUXHALL Tennis Club player Shanice Marshall-Sefia reached the semi-finals at the Finchley Manor Junior Open Tournament U12 singles event earlier this month, before losing to eventual winner Tanysha Dissanayake.
The youngster also entered the U14s event, where she made the quarter-finals.
It’s been a busy month for Marshall-Sefia, who is ranked number one in the county at U12 level, and two at U14, as she suffered a first round defeat at the Notts Junior Open U12 girls singles event earlier this month.
Last weekend, she also played in the Aegon Tennis Championships U12s and U14s event at Gosling where her team beat Norfolk, with Marshall-Sefia winning her singles 6-3, 6-3 and the doubles 6-4, 6-0.
