SNOOKER: Reanne Evans heads to Dunstable SC

Ten times World Snooker champion and World number one Reanne Evans heads a field of 10 female snooker players competing in the Connie Gough Memorial Tournament on Saturday at Dunstable Snooker Centre.

Earlier this month it was announced Reanne had received and accepted an invitation to play in the qualifiers for the World Championship, being held in Sheffield next month, becoming the first female player to be invited.

There will be a few new faces to the WLBSA for this event, Jodie Allen, Tina Alton and Kay Taylor as sponsored by Julie Hemingway, Dunstable Snooker Centre and Gary Connelly, a local player from the club, the competition offers £500 in prize money.
