SNOWBOARDING: Tynan takes gold in Switzerland

Luton snowboarder Liam Tynan won an excellent double gold at the recent British Championships in Laax, Switzerland.

The 11-year-old, who lives in Lower Woodside and only took up the sport just two-and-a-half years ago, competed in three disciplines; Half Pipe, Bordercross and Slope Style.

He took gold in Slope Style, finishing ahead of Lewis Hopkinson and Koby Cook and Half Pipe, while also claiming silver in Bordercross.

The youngster is now being recognized for his achievements and is currently submitting his Pathway application for the GB Park and Pipe Academy.

Tynan has competed in the English and British Championships in 2015 in the UK and achieved bronze and silver respectively.

He attends MK Snozone twice a week, while also training with Luton Athletic club too.
