Stage is set for Luton Sports Awards

The Luton Annual Sports Awards, held by the Luton Sports Network, are all set to take place at Venue 360 on Friday evening.

GB international triple jumper Kola Adedoyin is the guest speaker on the night where a host of awards will be handed out for categories including Sports Man and Woman of the Year.

Up for contention in Sports Man of the Year are gymnast Elliot Browne, swimmer Lawrence Parker and athlete Ian Kimpton.

The Sports Woman award will be between JKL’s Rachel Spiller and javelin thrower Jo Blair, while Young Sports Man has seen Lucas Lam (karate), Kyron Canny (athlete), Oliver Pepper (martial arts) plus Sasha Davis (karate) all nominated.

Young Sports Woman sees Feriel Siad (karate), Mia Jaye Sarkodee-Adoo (basketball) and Lisa Taylor (karate) up for the award.

Other categories also include Sports Team of the Year, Club Of the year, Contribution to Disabled Sport, Young Volunteer, Sports Official/Administrator, Sports Coach, Club Member, Service to Sport and the Geoff Battlebury Award - to be announced on the night.
