Park were up against it in the first 10 minutes when they allowed a strong Biggleswade outfit too much room and found themselves eight points adrift after a try from James Emerson and a Harry Worboys penalty.

Stockwood were next to score though when Jason Carr reduced the deficit with a penalty of his own.

Although the hosts had the better of the second half it was Biggleswade who went further ahead when winger George Humberston raced over for a score converted by Worboys.

Back came Stockwood though, but they couldn’t breach the visitors’ defence until, in the 75th minute, substitute Ben Griffin, playing his first game in over two months, touched down.

Unfortunately Carr missed an easy conversion by his standards,as Park fell just short.
