This means that King is now a seven time regional finalist, plus a national finalist as director of swimming at DSC, Tim Hutton said: “I am really proud of Ellie who competed at the ASA National Championships and at the highest levels. She has worked really hard to achieve these performances.

“She has been training seven days a week in preparation for the Championships and I think this hard work has been reflected in her fantastic performance.

“Her coaches and all the DSC family are very proud of her achievement as she gained tremendous support from everyone in Dunstable.

“Back in September last year Ellie made it clear to me she was keen to get to Nationals this season and it is great that we have been able to help her achieve her goal.”
