SWIMMING: PBs fall for Mid Beds Swim Squad

Mid Beds Swim Squad, sponsored by LV= returned to action at in the Luton Open Meet, just a couple of weeks after a week-long training camp in Torremolinos, Spain.

Despite of their bodies still recovering from their demanding exertions, the swimmers produced some excellent performances.

James McFarland, 13, from Harlington won gold in the boys 13/14 400m individual medley and recorded another two personal best times.

Eleven-year-old brother Edward was sixth in the boys 11/12 400m IM and recorded a PB in the 100m freestyle.

Ben Sarsfield, 14, from Luton, recorded seven PBs in eight events.

He now just half a second away from breaking one minute for the 100m freestyle and securing his first regional time.
