The club returned a magnificent set of results, records and medals from over 2,000 competitors, winning five golds, three silvers and three bronzes along with a Senior Age Group British record, plus regional and county records too.

Lawrence Palmer, 22, won gold in the 50m breaststroke, finishing 0.06secs off a British record, while he also won the 200m breaststroke and the 200m individual medley (IM) too.

Palmer’s best achievement came in the 100m breaststroke though where he stormed to victory in 1.01.39mins to claim gold and a new Senior Age Group British record too.

Meanwhile, Vicky Pritchard, 18, who had been on the verge of quitting mainstream swimming for good after finding it hard to train 20 hours a week, has rediscovered her enjoyment and earned gold in the 1,500m, two silvers and a bronze too.

Jordan Batson, 18, achieved PBs in all his races and went sub 30secs in the 50m breaststroke to win a bronze medal, while Paul Brignell, 60, was third in the 50m breaststroke too.
