SWIMMING: Swift invited to GB Talent Camp

Team Luton SC member Nathan Swift attended a GB Talent Camp for East Region swimmers at the weekend.

The invitation-only swim camp was held at Culford School in Bury St Edmunds under the direction of head coach Kevin Ayers, four assistant coaches, a team manager and Fred Furniss, England Talent development officer.

The camp consisted of two one-hour education sessions, two two-hour pool sessions and a one hour land training session.

The camp was a positive experience for Swift and a great stepping stone to move forward with his swimming career.

Most Popular

Swift was invited to the camp as a result of his excellent performance at the East Region Championships in 2013.

The youngster picked up eight of the nine medals won by Team Luton, qualifying for all 12 events, reaching 11 finals.
