SWIMMING: Team Luton duo take bronze
Team Luton’s Malcolm Barton and Alastair Gibb were both in record-breaking form at the recent GB Long Course Masters Swimming Championships held in Manchester.
Barton beat the East Region and Bedfordshire County records for the 60-64 year age group 200m breaststroke by over six seconds, clocking 3.15.62mins for bronze.
He then also finished in fifth place in the 100m breaststroke too.

Hide AdGibb claimed bronze in the 55-59 year age group 400m individual medley.
His time of 6.18.05mins was a new county record and beat the old East Region best by 25 seconds.
Gibb also finished sixth place in the 200m breaststroke, while claiming Bedfordshire County records in both the 100m butterfly and 50m backstroke events.
