SWIMMING: Team Luton in fine form

Team Luton swimmers travelled to Biggleswade at the weekend to attend their 15th Open Meet.

Maisie Hamilton (nine) was victorious in all her six events, the 50m backstroke and butterfly, 200m backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle and Individual Medley (IM), setting a number of personal bests.

She also managed a time of 45.07secs in the 50m butterfly as she added another event to her county qualifying haul.

Rhys Davidson (nine) won gold in both the 200m freestyle in 3.00.18mins and the 50m backstroke in 44.56secs, while claiming bronze in the 50m butterfly.

Ben Cornforth (nine), competed for the first time and swam 51.95secs in the 50m backstroke.

In the 10-year-old age group, Abbie Barnwell won gold in four of her events, the 200m breaststroke, freestyle and IM and 400m IM, plus taking bronze in the 100m breaststroke.
