SWIMMING: Team Luton trio excel at Swim Wales Open
This high profile open meet also incorporated the Welsh National meet in which the top 16 Welsh swimmers in each category and age group were invited to swim.

Hide AdAbbie Barnwell, 12, competed in a host of freestyle events, clocking 32.18secs in the 50m freestyle, 1.09.25mins in the 100m and 5.01.38mins in the 400m.
In the 800m race, she swam an outstanding 15-second PB to claim bronze in 9.50.42mins.
Team-mate Lauren Young, 12, went in eight events and won a bronze in the 400m freestyle with a fantastic nine-second PB of 4.52.66mins.

Hide AdShe also managed a best in the 100m freestyle (1.07.11mins) and finished in 31.69secs and 2.24.24mins in the 50m and 200m freestyle, respectively.
Young went on to record 2.45.15mins in the 200m butterfly and came fifth in the heats to claim a place in the final.
In the other butterfly events, she clocked 34.88secs in the 50m event and 1.18.61mins in the 100m, while managing 2.53.32mins in the 200m backstroke.

Hide AdCelyn Walmsley, 13, competed in all the breaststroke events in what was a busy meet.
She managed a PB to finish fifth in the 200m heats, plus another PB of 2.57.45mins in the final, where she was fifth.
The youngster also reached the 100m breaststroke final and clocked a time of 1.23.84mins to earn sixth place.
Further PBs followed for Walmsley in the 50m breaststroke (38.65secs) and 50m freestyle (31.60secs), while she also swam 2.46.13mins in the 200m individual medley.
