Team Luton enjoy Open Water success

Hannah Colwell, racing in the 13-16 year age group, clocked 45mins over the 3km course to finish third in the East Region and second in both the Junior and Senior Bedfordshire County Championship.

Over 2km in the same age group, Charlotte Kelly came home in 30.57mins to finish 12th in the East Region, second Junior and third Senior in the Bedfordshire County Championship.

Alex Mason triumphed in the 17-19 year age group over 2km in a time of 27.18mins, to be crowned East Region and Senior Bedfordshire County champion.

Over 1,500m, Hannah Kelly competed in the 12-16 year age group, clocking 21.47mins to come 23rd in the East Region and fifth in both the Junior and Senior sections of the Bedfordshire County Championship.

Jamie Wright went in the same age group and finished in 21.09mins to come 19th in the East Region and second Junior and third Senior in the Bedfordshire County Championship.

The 800m distance saw Amy Pelling finish seventh in the East Region in the 15-16 year age group in a time of 12.29mins, which was good enough for fourth in both the Junior and Senior Bedfordshire County Championships.

Meanwhile, in the 11-12 year age group Nathan Swift clocked 11.14mins to triumph in the East Region and come fourth in both Junior and Senior Bedfordshire County Championships.
