Team Luton swimmers impress at Biggleswade

TEAM Luton swimmers impressed in their last chance to gain regional times at the Mid Beds Open Meet at Biggleswade.

Aisha Karouai, 10, won gold in the 400m individual medley (IM) in 6.38.73mins, an eight-second personal best, new club record and regional qualifying time.

In the backstroke she also came first in both the 100m and 200m events, while claiming silver in the 100m freestyle and bronze in the 200m.

Nathan Swift, 10, swam 36.89secs in the 50m backstroke to win gold and set a new club record. He also picked up gold medals in the 200m backstroke, 100m breaststroke and 200m IM, along with silver in the 200m freestyle.
