TENNIS: Shanice reaches last 16 in Nike tournament
Luton tennis youngster Shania Marshall-Sefia competed at the Nike Clay Court Tennis Championships U14 girls singles event at Queenswood TC earlier this month.
She started off by beating Daphne Pratt 6-1, 6-1, before suffering a last-16 defeat to Alice Thane as she went down 6-3, 4-6, 6-2. She picked up 300 points for that competition, while she was also in the doubles at the U14 event.
Partnered by Gemma Heath, they went down 4-2, 5-4 (4) to Alexsandra Topalovic and Megan Forster.
Shanice’s next tournament is the Aegon Team Tennis Premier U14 girls event.
