Third for Luton AC as they make step up

LUTON AC’s men endured a mixed day as they finished third in their first Southern Men’s League Division One match at the Thames Valley Athletics Centre in Eton on Saturday.

After winning Division Two North last season, the team found the step up challenging, as their total of 75 points was some way behind Bexley (101pts) and Windsor, Slough, Eton and Hounslow (100pts).

Kyle Andrew made a welcome return with a double win in the 100m and 200m, with times of 11.4secs and 23.2secs.

After years of injury, Vinnie Bruce also came back to take the B string 100m in 11.8secs, although a tight hamstring meant he could not run the 200m.
