Skipper Jamie Hoque led by example as Park started with intent and after six minutes scored an excellent team try with the ever dangerous winger Charlie Bennett going over, James Hankey adding the extras.

Park’s front row of Justin Harkin, Tom Childs and Ryan Hunt provided a solid base, competing fiercely throughout, but any error was seized on by Haberdashers who established a 22-7 half time lead.

With Park now having the slope and elements in their favour, they showed no signs of conceding the game to the table-toppers.

Ben Griffin, returning after a long injury lay-off, was prominent in attack before he tired.

Haberdashers took the score to 29-7 before another excellent team try from Park, finished again by Bennett and converted by Hankey made it 29-14.

Stockwood continued to attack but the home team stood firm, quick to take advantage of any mistakes, adding two late tries to give them a 39-14 victory.

Park are back in action this weekend when they host third placed Hampstead.
