Vauxhall’s Cook nets a 26lb common carp

Bream to 11lb have also been netted usually to the pellet feeder.

Hide AdLarge carp have also been caught at Stanton Harcourt lake with the best two fish going to James Harly, weighing in at 28lb and 24lb, while several other doubles have also been caught.
Tingrith Manor Lake is on fire with anglers banking up to 20 carp in a day session, most of the fish are in the 3lb to 10lb size range, but there was a report of a 19lb fish being caught.
Rudd are also feeding well at this venue with a 20lb bag a possibility.
On the match scene, Paul Caton won at Kempston with 14lb of mainly small fish from the fancied shallows peg.

Hide AdBlue green algae, meanwhile, is affecting some waters and anglers are reminded to take extra care.
Last week, Vauxhall AC held its first summer points match at Kempston when the winner was Paul Cayton with 14lb 10oz of dace and chub from the shallows.
Second was Mike Fairy with 13lb 10oz including two good chub and dace from Moorlands while third was Alex Graham with two good chub and bits weighing 12lb 10oz from the School Bend.
The next two places were filled by Chris Fuller (8lb 4oz) and Mick Burrel (6lb 6oz).
