Veteran Icknield Road Club rider Lee breaks a whole host of records
Eighty-four-year-old cyclist John Lee set a host of new national Veterans Time Trial Association age group records in Welwyn Garden City, writes Ben Coldwell.
The Icknield Road Club senior citizen took to the Gosling open track in Welwyn Garden City and broke five national age records in the process.
He competed in a continuous cycle last Thursday, during which he broke the 5km, 5-mile, 10km and 10-mile age records in times of 9.04mins, 14.32mins, 18.02mins and 28.55mins respectively.
